Frequently asked questions
How far apart should two gears be?
Center distance = module × (teeth of gear 1 + teeth of gear 2) / 2. For 20 and 40 teeth at module 1.5: 45 mm.
Which module should I use?
Module is the size of the teeth. Two gears only mesh if they have the same module. 1 to 1.5 suits most small printed projects.
