About this generator
No pin, no assembly: the knuckles turn on printed cones. Use it for boxes, small doors, lids and models.
How to use
- Set the length and leaf width.
- Pick the number of knuckles (more = stiffer).
- Print flat as exported, then bend it a few times to break it loose.
Printing tips
- Print the first layer slightly cooler or with less squish so the knuckles don't fuse to the bed.
- PETG hinges are tougher; PLA is fine for light lids.
- If it is fused, raise the clearance to 0.5 mm.

Frequently asked questions
Why won't my hinge move?
Elephant's foot or over-extrusion fills the gaps. Bend it firmly once, or reprint with more clearance.
How do I stop the knuckles fusing to the bed?
Print the first layer slightly cooler or with less squish. If the hinge still comes out fused, raise Clearance to 0.5 mm.
