About this generator

Cut flare and protect the front element. Petal hoods let wider lenses see past the short sides.

How to use

  1. Find the filter size on the lens cap or inside the lens front (e.g. ⌀58).
  2. Pick the length: check the corners of a test shot for vignetting.
  3. Print thread side down at 0.12 mm layers.

Printing tips

  • Use matte black filament: shiny hoods reflect light into the lens.
  • A petal hood screws in at a random angle: rotate the hood to where you like it and leave it there.
