About this generator

Mount a mic, light or action camera on a camera shoe, protect hot-shoe contacts, or add a shoe to a cage.

How to use

  1. Pick the part.
  2. Print the feet standing on the foot plate, the shoe flat.
  3. Foot to 1/4": slide a 1/4"-20 nut into the side slot. Shoe: fix it with a countersunk 1/4"-20 screw.

Printing tips

  • PETG or nylon are tougher than PLA for feet that slide in and out.
  • Sizes follow ISO 518: 18 mm foot, 18.6 mm shoe.

What does each part do?

Quarter: a shoe foot with a 1/4"-20 nut for lights and mics. GoPro: a shoe foot with a GoPro mount. Cover: protects an empty hot shoe. Shoe: a cold shoe that bolts onto any 1/4"-20 screw.

The foot is too tight or loose in the shoe.

Change Foot clearance by 0.05 mm. Sizes follow ISO 518: an 18 mm foot in an 18.6 mm shoe.
