About this generator
Print it, pop the rings loose, and try to put it down again.
How to use
- Choose the number of rings and the diameter.
- Print it flat.
- Push each ring out of plane to break its pivots loose, then spin.
Printing tips
- No supports: the pivots are 45° cones.
- Silk and multicolor filaments look best on this one.
- If a ring will not come loose, raise Pivot clearance by 0.05 mm.

Frequently asked questions
Can the rings come out?
No. Each pivot is a cone that reaches into the next ring, so the rings are captive.
How many rings fit?
Each ring needs its width plus the gap. At 60 mm, four rings of 4 mm leave a comfortable centre.
