About this generator
A name that moves: every letter is a segment, and every joint is a hinge that prints in place.
How to use
- Type a name (2 to 12 letters or digits).
- Pick a bold font: thin script fonts make weak letters.
- Print flat, as exported, without supports or a brim.
- Bend each joint gently up and down to free it.
Printing tips
- 0.2 mm layers and a well-tuned first layer keep the hinges free.
- No brim: it can glue the hinge gaps shut.
- Two colors that alternate make the joints easy to see.

Frequently asked questions
The joints are stuck.
Bend each one gently up and down to break it loose. If they stay stuck, raise Hinge clearance by 0.05 mm and print again.
Why is there a bar through each letter?
It is the spine that holds the hinges, so every letter connects whatever its shape.
Which way does it bend?
Up and down, like a chain. Each joint swings about 40 degrees each way.
