About this generator

Use an existing LED string light: this tool makes the frame, not the electrics. The outline is built from straight bars and corner connectors, so a big star is made of pieces much smaller than the frame. Set your bed size and download one plate at a time. Every clip has room for the wire diameter you measure, with lips that make it snap in.

How to use

Measure the wire of your LED string (not the LEDs) and enter its diameter.
Choose the shape, the height and how far apart the clips are.
Set Print bed size to your printer and download Plate 1, Plate 2, … one at a time. Print the bars and corner connectors flat, as they lie on each plate.
Lay the bars in the outline, press a connector over the two pegs at every corner, then press the wire into the clips. Hang it by the loop on the top connector.

Printing tips

If the wire won't snap in, the lips are too tight for your printer: measure the wire again or use PETG, which flexes more.
If the connectors are loose on the pegs, lower Fit clearance.
