About this generator

Each snowball has a flat top with a peg and a flat bottom with a matching hole, so the balls stack straight and come apart again. The scarf is a ring that slides over the neck peg, and the hat has its own socket for a peg on the head.

How to use

  1. Choose the number of balls, the size of the bottom ball and how much each ball shrinks.
  2. Pick a hat and turn the scarf on or off.
  3. Download the 3MF for a colored face, nose, hat and scarf, or the STL for one color. Every ball prints on its flat bottom.
  4. Stack the balls on their pegs, put the scarf over the neck peg before the head, and press the hat on top.

Printing tips

  • If a peg is tight, raise Fit clearance; if the stack wobbles, lower it.
  • The balls overhang near their flat bottom; a brim or slower first layers help on some printers.

Frequently asked questions

Can I hide something inside?

No. The balls are solid decorations; there is no compartment.

How is the face printed?

Eyes, mouth and buttons are one color part and the nose another. They sit in pockets in the balls, so with a multi-material printer they print in their own colors; in one color they are simply part of the ball.
