About this generator

A small door for the elf that visits in December. It is a relief, not an opening door: the planks, frame, knob, hinges, window and number plate stand out from a flat back that sits against the wall.

How to use

  1. Choose the height, width and the shape of the top.
  2. Type the house number and pick a font.
  3. Download the 3MF for two colors (door and trim), or the STL for one.
  4. Print it on its flat back. Stick it to the wall with mounting tape, or choose screw holes. Put the step in front of it.

Printing tips

  • Swap filament or use two colors: the frame, knob, straps and plate are the trim part.
  • The flat back prints on the bed, so no supports are needed for the door itself.

Frequently asked questions

Does the door open?

No. It is a relief door with a flat back, made to stick on a wall or skirting board.

How do I fix it to the wall?

Removable mounting strips on the flat back work well. With Mounting set to Screw holes, the door gets two countersunk holes for small screws.
