About this generator

One wagon per child, each with a name and a small surprise inside. The wagons hook on behind the locomotive: every wagon has an eye at the front that drops over the pin at the back of the vehicle in front. The wheels are fixed and only for show: the train is a display, not a rolling toy.

How to use

  1. Choose the number of wagons and the inside size of a wagon.
  2. Type the names and pick a wheel style.
  3. Print the locomotive and wagons standing up. The 3MF has the wheels and names as separate colors.
  4. Line them up and drop each wagon's front eye over the pin behind the vehicle ahead.

Printing tips

  • The eye at the front of each wagon is a short overhang; print it with cooling on.
  • If the eye doesn't drop over the pin, raise Fit clearance.

Do the wheels turn?

No. The wheels are fixed decoration; the train is a display that you can push along a shelf.

Can I add more wagons later?

Yes. Every wagon has a pin at the back, so the next one hooks on. Print extra wagons with the same size.
