About this generator

A shelf that seems to grow out of the wall. Two screws, and nothing to see.

How to use

  1. Set the width and depth.
  2. Print it standing on its back.
  3. Put two screws in the wall, level, at the spacing of the keyholes, heads 4 mm out.
  4. Hang the shelf over the heads and push it down.

Printing tips

  • Print standing on the wall side, as shown: the top comes out smooth and there are no supports.
  • Use 4 walls and 20 % infill or more. Thick at the wall is what makes it strong.
  • For light things: a plant, a speaker, keys, a phone. Not for books or anything fragile and heavy.
  • The keyholes sit about two thirds of the width apart; measure them on the print before drilling.

Frequently asked questions

How much weight can it carry?

A kilo or two near the wall, less at the front edge. The wall plugs and screws matter as much as the print.

Shelves wider than 220 mm?

They get a third keyhole in the middle. The width must still fit your printer bed.
