About this generator

Measure what you want to store, enter the inside size, and get a box that fits exactly. Add a lid and dividers as needed.

How to use

  1. Enter the inside width, depth and height.
  2. Choose a lid: none, lift-off or sliding.
  3. Add dividers if you want compartments.
  4. The lid is placed next to the box: print both in one go.

Printing tips

  • The lift-off lid prints upside down, top face on the bed.
  • If the lid is too tight or too loose, adjust the fit tolerance (0.2–0.3 mm suits most printers).
  • Sliding lids need walls of at least 1.6 mm.

Helpful guides

Part of a project

  • Sort a messy drawer: Measure the drawer once, then fill it with dividers, trays and bins that fit.

Frequently asked questions

Are the dimensions inside or outside?

Inside. The outside is larger by two wall thicknesses (and the floor in height).

Which lid should I choose?

A lift-off lid sits on top and comes off easily. A sliding lid slides in from the side and needs walls of at least 1.6 mm. Choose None for an open tray.

The lid is too tight or too loose.

Change Fit tolerance. 0.2–0.3 mm suits most printers: raise it if the lid sticks, lower it if it falls off.
