About this generator

Measure the thickness of your shelf or mantel edge and the clamp is made for it: it grips the edge from above and below, with rounded inside corners, and the hook hangs in front. How much it holds depends on your filament, print and shelf; test it with a light stocking first.

How to use

  1. Measure the shelf or mantel thickness and enter it. Set how far the clamp reaches onto the shelf.
  2. Choose the hook opening, the drop and a motif.
  3. Download and print it lying on its side, as exported. The 3MF has the motif as a second color.
  4. Push the clamp onto the shelf edge and hang the stocking on the hook.

Printing tips

  • Printed on its side, the layers run along the hook's curve, which is the stronger direction for a bend.
  • PETG is a little more forgiving than PLA if the clamp has to flex onto the edge.

Frequently asked questions

How much weight does it hold?

That depends on the filament, the print settings and your shelf, so no rating is given. Try it with a light stocking first and don't hang anything heavy or valuable.

My shelf is thicker at the front edge.

Measure where the clamp will sit, about 2 cm from the edge, and enter that thickness.
