About this generator

Even spacing means less thinning out later. Lay the ruler on the soil and sow through the holes.

How to use

  1. Set the spacing from the seed packet.
  2. Print flat.
  3. Lay it on the soil, poke a hole through each opening or drop the seeds in, then move the ruler along.

Printing tips

  • Any filament works. A bright color is easy to find in the garden.
  • Print one ruler per common spacing.

Frequently asked questions

What do the tick marks show?

Every 10 mm, with a longer mark every 50 mm, so you can also use it to measure row distances.

Can I use it for tiny seeds?

Yes. Use small holes (3–4 mm) and drop a pinch of seed in each one.
