About this generator
Give mason bees and leafcutter bees a place to nest. Mixed tube sizes attract different species.
How to use
- Choose the size and the tube diameters.
- Print front face up as exported.
- Hang it in a sunny, sheltered spot facing south-east, at least 1 m above the ground.
Printing tips
- Use a dark or wood-colored filament: it warms up in the morning sun.

Frequently asked questions
Which tube sizes should I use?
3 to 9 mm covers most solitary bees in gardens; 6–8 mm suits mason bees. Each row uses the next size from the list.
Is plastic OK for bees?
Many people prefer wood or paper tubes, because they let moisture escape. A good option: set the tube size slightly larger than paper straws and slide the straws in, so you can replace them each year.
