About this generator

How much rain fell last night? A straight tube catches rain at the same rate as the ground, so the water height is the rainfall.

How to use

  1. Pick the height and units.
  2. Print the tube upright and the stake flat.
  3. Push the stake into open ground, snap the tube into the cradles.

Printing tips

  • Use the 3MF for a scale in a second color; it's raised 0.6 mm.
  • Empty the tube after reading.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the tube straight?

In a straight tube the water level equals the rainfall, so the scale reads it directly in mm or inches.

How do I get the scale in another color?

Use the 3MF: the scale is a separate part, raised 0.6 mm.
