About this generator

Every letter of the name gets its own wagon behind a little steam locomotive. A classic gift for a birth or a first birthday.

How to use

  1. Type the name: one wagon per letter.
  2. Pick a font and the colors for the train, the letters and the details.
  3. Print, then slide each coupler knob down into the slot of the next wagon.

Printing tips

  • Print every piece lying on its side, letters up. No supports.
  • On a single-color printer, change filament at the train width (18 mm by default) for colored letters.
  • If the couplers are too tight, raise the clearance; if they're loose, lower it.

Frequently asked questions

Is it a toy?

It's a decoration for the shelf. This is a decoration, not a toy: keep it out of a baby's mouth and crib. Small parts are a choking hazard.

How do the wagons join?

Every piece has a round knob at the back that slides down into the slot at the front of the next one, like a jigsaw piece.
