About this generator

See your route on the bike. The phone slides into the cradle from the top and sits behind lips on both sides.

How to use

  1. Measure your phone with its case: width and thickness.
  2. Print the clamp halves and the cradle as exported.
  3. Put M4 nuts in the lower half, an M5 nut in the pocket on the upper half.
  4. Clamp it on the bar with two M4 bolts, then screw the cradle on with a countersunk M5 screw (10–12 mm).

Printing tips

  • Use PETG or ASA: PLA softens in the sun.
  • Add a rubber band around the cradle for bumpy roads.
  • A strip of rubber inside the clamp stops it from turning.

Frequently asked questions

What do I need besides the print?

Two M4 bolts (about 25 mm) with nuts for the clamp, and a countersunk M5 screw of 10–12 mm with a nut for the cradle.

Is it safe on rough roads?

On normal roads, yes. For mountain biking add a rubber band or strap over the phone. Check the screws now and then.

Which bar diameter do I have?

Measure where the mount goes. 22.2 mm is common near the grips, 31.8 and 35 mm near the stem.
