About this generator

A family in one tree. Put the shortest names at the top and the longest at the bottom for the best shape.

How to use

  1. Type the names, shortest first. Empty fields are skipped.
  2. Add a year or a short word for the trunk and pick the top symbol.
  3. Choose a foot or a hanging hole.
  4. Download the 3MF for two colors, or the STL and change filament where the names start.

Printing tips

  • Print flat, names up. The foot prints next to it.
  • Names with similar lengths look better with a narrower tree: lower Width.
  • The tree pushes into the slot of the foot. A drop of glue makes it permanent.

Frequently asked questions

Why are the names stretched?

Each name fills its branch from edge to edge, which is what gives the tree its shape. Put short names at the top to limit the stretch.

Can I make it a Christmas ornament?

Yes. Pick the star and the hanging hole, set the width to 60 to 80 mm and print it in green with white names.
