About this generator

The sign from the baby shop, made for this one child: a big initial with the name in front and the birth details on little clouds.

How to use

  1. Type the letter and the name.
  2. Fill in the birth details and switch off the ones you don't want.
  3. Pick a theme, or "Choose yourself" to set the label shape and decorations one by one.
  4. Pick the colors and download the 3MF, or the STL for one color.

Printing tips

  • Print it lying on its back, front up. No supports.
  • On a single-color printer, change filament at the letter thickness for the labels and decorations, and again for the label text.
  • Use 3 walls and 15 % infill; the sign is mostly solid letter.

Frequently asked questions

Will it stand on its own?

Yes. The name stands in front of the letter on the same flat bottom, so the sign is as deep as the letter and the name together. For names in a font that doesn't join up, choose the base bar.

Parts of the clouds stick out past the letter. Will that print?

Yes. Wherever a label or decoration reaches past the letter, it goes all the way down to the bed, so nothing hangs in the air.

Can I use it for a birthday or a name sign?

Sure. Switch off the details you don't need and use the extra line for anything else.
