About this generator

Hang it on the nursery door: one side asks visitors to be quiet, the other says they can come in.

How to use

  1. Type the lines for the front and the back, and the name if you like.
  2. Pick a decoration for each side.
  3. Download the 3MF: the back text is printed in the first layers, the front text on top.

Printing tips

  • Print flat, front up. No supports.
  • The back text sits in the first 0.6 mm: use the 3MF with contrasting colors for flush text. The combined single-color STL fills the inlay, so the back text is not visible; export the hanger/body part alone for an engraved back.
  • Use a smooth or textured PEI sheet for a nice finish on the back.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the back text mirrored in the preview?

You see the back from above, through the hanger. Turn the print round and it reads right.

Will it fit my door handle?

The hole fits handles up to 38 mm by default; the slit lets it slip over a lever handle. Make the hole bigger for thick knobs.
